Home Remedies for Smelly Feet

Give your feet a fresh start!

Got Stinky Feet? Here’s Why!

We’ve all experienced it - slipping off your shoes and being hit with a less-than-pleasant smell.

So, what’s behind the funk? It’s sweat!

Your feet have more sweat glands than anywhere else on your body. When sweat combines with bacteria, especially in warm and moist conditions, it creates that familiar odor.

Things like tight shoes, poor airflow, and synthetic socks can make the situation worse. But with a little care, you can banish the stench and keep your feet feeling fresh!

How to use home remedies to treat Smelly Feet?

  • Epsom Salt Soak: Fill a tub with warm water and add Epsom salts. Soak your feet for about 30 minutes to help reduce odor and relax your feet.

  • Hydrate & Watch Your Diet: Drinking plenty of water helps flush out toxins that can contribute to body odor. A healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can also keep your body’s natural balance in check, reducing foot odor.

  • Change Your Socks Frequently: If you’re prone to smelly feet, make sure to change your socks at least once a day, or more if needed. This helps control bacteria growth and keeps feet dry and fresh.

  • Tea Soak: Fill a tub with warm water and add black tea. Black tea can help reduce sweat production and eliminate bacteria, leaving your feet feeling fresh.

  • Vinegar Wash: Wash your feet with a mixture of vinegar and water. The acidity of vinegar helps kill bacteria and neutralize odors, leaving your feet feeling clean and fresh.

  • Baking Soda: Before putting on socks, dust your feet with a bit of baking soda. It helps absorb moisture, neutralize odors, and keep bacteria at bay.

  • Lemon Juice: Mix lemon juice with warm water and rinse your feet. It kills odor-causing bacteria and leaves a fresh citrus scent.
